In the heart of Karnataka, faith-based institutions like Sri Adichunchanagiri Kshethra don't merely function as educational establishments; they breathe life into the essence of community, connection, and empowerment. Here, people are not just educated - they are nurtured, uplifted, and set forth with wings of knowledge. BGS College, Shringeri organised this wonderful training programme for all the heads of institutions coming under Sri Adichunchanagiri Kshethra.

It was amidst this backdrop that a poignant reunion took place. Our ABC Laughter Team's founder member, Prof. M Radhakrishna, was invited as a key resource person for a training programme dedicated to uplifting the torchbearers of education in Sringeri. Little did he know, destiny had a touching surprise in store for him.

As he stepped onto the dais, he locked eyes with a familiar face from the past, Mr. T D Raje Gowda, an old student of his. Today, Gowda stands tall as the MLA of Sringeri, but in that fleeting moment, he was once again the earnest pupil looking up to his revered teacher. 44 years had passed, but the bond remained unbroken, untarnished.

Gowda, overwhelmed with emotion, took the opportunity to inaugurate the programme. But he didn't stop there. With a heart brimming with gratitude, he arranged a special felicitation for Prof. Radhakrishna. It wasn’t just a gesture; it was a tribute to the indelible mark left by educators, a testament to the timeless bonds forged in the corridors of learning.

In the end, the event wasn't just about training or empowerment. It was a celebration of enduring relationships, a testament to the profound impact a teacher can have on a student's heart and soul.

ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಬಾಬ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಧ್ಯಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಬಿಸಿ ಲಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ ಯೋಗ ಟೀಮ್‌, ಮಣಿಪಾಲ ಇದರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ, “ಸೇವಾ ಸಾಧಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ”ಯನ್ನು ತಾರೀಕು 05-09- 2023ರಂದು ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಮಧುವನ ಸರಾಯ್‌ ಹೋಟೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜರಗಿದ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಇವರು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಬೊಮ್ಮರಬೆಟ್ಟು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಎಮ್‌ ಜಿ ಎಮ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತು ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್‌ ಬೇಂಕ್‌ಗ ಸೇರಿ, ಬೇಂಕಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತ, ಶಿಲ್ಲೋಂಗ್‌, ದಿಬ್ರುಗ್ರಹ್‌, ಹ್ಯೆದರಾಬಾದ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ‌ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಬೇಂಕಿನ ಸೀನಿಯರ್‌ ಮೆನೇಜರ್‌ ಆಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಸ್ವಯಂ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ನಿವೃತ್ತಿಯ ನಂತರ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ್ಲಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್‌ ವ್ಯಾಕರಣವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಉಡುಪಿ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ ಇದರ ಅದ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಮಿಟಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅವರ ನೇತ್ರತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಎ ಬಿ ಸಿ ಲಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸಕ್ರೀಯವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ತಲ್ಲೂರ್‌ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ಶ್ರೀ ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ, ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ರೋಟರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಲು ಸುಮಾರು 1000 ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ, ಅವರ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುವುದು, ಆ ಕಲಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವಿರಲಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಈಜುಕೊಳವಿರಲಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯಾಗಿರಬಹುದು, ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಬಾಗಿರಲಿ, ಮಣಿಪಾಲ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಡ ನಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಿರಲಿ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 12 ಲಕ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಮೀರಿದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಿದ ಸುಮಾರು 5,000 ಕನ್ನಡ - ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್‌ ಡಿಕ್ಟೆನರಿ ಇರಲಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕ್ಯೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಹಿರಿಯರಾದ ಅಲೆವೂರು ದೊಡ್ಡಮನೆ ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಹೈದರಾಬಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದ ಶಿಷ್ಯೇಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದ ಬೇಂಕಿನ ಡೆಪ್ಯಟಿ ಡಿ ಎಮ್‌ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಕ್ರಿಷ್ಣೀಬಾಯಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ನಂತರ ಕಲಿಸುವಿಕೆಯಲಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಲಿಸುವಿಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅರೋಗ್ಯ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಚಿರರುಣಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಎ ಬಿ ಸಿ ಲಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ ಟೀಮಿನ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಮೇಜರ್‌ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಅದ್ಯಾಪಕ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಯಕ್ತ ಲಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ ಟೀಮಿನ ಅದ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಸುರೇಶರಮಣ ಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ತಲ್ಲೂರ್‌ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ಪುಷ್ಪ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಪರೇಷನ್‌ ಬ್ಯೇಂಕಿನ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಡಿ. ಜಿ. ಎಮ್ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗರಾಜ ಶೆಟ್ಟರು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
